91. ARE BEAUTY AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OVERVALUED OR ARE THEY REALLY SO IMPORTANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE ? , by A.D (Bachillerato 2)

SONG: Nothing matters when we're dancing- The Magnetic Fields

Beauty has always been one of society's great obsessions. However, there is still a question to answer... what exactly is "beauty"?

From my point of view, people have adopted what the media portrays as "beautiful", and to me, "beauty" is a perception. I think that magazines, films and advertising have put way too much emphasis on showing us what beauty should really look like, which is pretty harmful, especially to young girls with no self-esteem.

Besides, people can be physically attractive but awful as humans. Lately these days, the belief that a person is beautiful when both their personality and physical appearance are gorgeous is becoming more and more widespread.

Apart from that, something which you can control as your look affects your choice of mate, the friends you have and even your job. And that's because when you apply for a job, the first thing they are going to take into account is your appearance: whether you are well dressed or not.

In conclusion, I would say beauty is still highly overvalued nowadays, and I would also add that everybody is beautiful to somebody.

90. IS EXPERIMENTATION ON ANIMALS JUSTIFIED ? gIVE YOUR OPINION, by A.D (Bachillerato 2)

Song: The River - Bruce Springsteen

Millions of animals are used in medical experiments to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products each year. As it is a controversial issue, it has many points of view.

On the one hand, animal testing is cruel and inhumane as animals are drugged with medicines which are not necessarily safe. Besides, it is contradictory that we reject experimenting on humans but not on animals, as they suffer just like we do. And, also, I once heard that not all scientists are sure that these tests are valid or successful.

However, on the other hand, experimentation on animals has helped to many life-saving cures and treatments, and laws highly regulate animal research in order to prevent them from mistreatment.

In my case, I don't have a formed opinion about this difficult question to answer. I think there are so many points to keep in mind that it is really complicated to make a decision.

89. DESCRIBE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR STUDIES, by L.B (Bachillerato 2)

   SONG: Ismael Lo - Tajabone

At my age, very few people know exactly what they are going to do with their lives as we are constantly changing our plans for the future, creating new goals and developing diverse actions to achieve our desired results.

In the near future, I will go to university and in spite of not knowing for sure what I am going to study, I'm pretty convinced that I will focus on a degree related to biology as it is a subject I am really keen on. Consequently, I hope I will succeed in my studies so that I can have the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus program as I am willing to have lots of special experiences at the university.

Besides, if I became a doctor, I would love to join a volunteer program in order to help people around the world in an altruistic way. Furthermore, as I love travelling, I would like to work and live in as many countries as posible so I'd get to know other cultures and foreign people as well as new languages.

Before setting my life, I am going to enjoy my youth as much as I can as you only live once and you have to make the most of it. Then, I will be willing to own a home and start a family.

87. A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF MY MORNING ROUTINE BEFORE I COME TO THE HIGH SCHOOL , by I.M ( ESO 2)

I wake up at a quarter past seven every day. I stop the alarm clock at sixteen past seven. The alarm clock goes off again at nineteen past seven, and I stop it again from its back side, so I get to sleep once more until twenty-six past seven.

I finally get up at half pat seven. Then I put on my clothes and I go to the kitchen.

There, I take a cup from the cupboard, I take the milk and I pour it into the cup. Then, I put it into the microwave to heat it. While the milk is in the microwave, I take some biscuits. I love dipping my biscuits in the milk.

After having my breakfast, I walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Next, I go to my bedroom, I take my shoes, I sit down on my bed and I put them on.

Later, I take my schoolbag, I walk downstairs and I wait until the bus arrives in front of my house.

Finally, I arrive at the high school at twenty-five past eight.

86. A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF MY MORNING ROUTINE BEFORE I COME TO THE HIGH SCHOOL, by D.A (ESO 2)

SONG: Jevetta Steele - I´m Calling You

In the morning, I get up when my clock rings at half past seven. I put the slippers in my feet and I go to the kitchen.

I take my favourite  cup, the cup of LAMBORGHINI. I go to the fridge and I take the milk and the oranges. I fill  half of the cup with milk and I put the cup with milk into the microwave, but I don't heat it.

I cut the oranges and I squeeze them in the squeezer. I start the microwave to heat the milk.

Meanwhile, I put a lot of sugar in a glass and I pour the orange juice in the glass with the sugar.

When the microwave rings and the milk is hot, I put the cup of milk on the kitchen table. I go to the cupboard of the kitchen and I take the biscuits.

Then I have breakfast. But it´s a quarter to eight, so I have breakfast very fast, I clear the table and I go to the bathroom. I take my toothpaste and my toothbrush and I brush my teeth. After, I rinse my mouth, which is clean and fresh.

At five to eight, I go to my bedroom and I dress up. At eight
o'clock I walk to the high school with my friend Andrea.

While I arrive at the high school at a quarter past eight , I talk with my friends and I wait till the bell rings. When the bell rings, I enter the classroom and I take out the books and the notebooks.

85. DESCRIBE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR STUDIES, by A.S. (Bachillerato 2)

SONG:  Abba - One of us

I love maths. Maths are my passion. This means that in my future there must be a lot of numbers. I don't know what I want to become, and I don't really feel like any of the professions I know fit me. The only thing I am sure of is that there have to be numbers. I would like to travel a lot too, to investigate in other countries.

After finishing my degree, I would like to investigate and to deepen on how numbers are everywhere we are and on everything we do. Maybe after a year or two, I suppose I would like to find a stable job, and it would be nice to be a maths teacher, as I could spend a lot of time talking about my passion. I have always thought that one of the most satisfying feelings is knowing that thanks to you, other people share the same passion.

I would like to have kids too, which carries the responsability of teaching and bringing them up, so having a job which involves children would also help much on this task. I would love to have plenty of time (and money) to travel a lot with them, and to show them a lot of nice places and cultures, as I feel extremely grateful to my parents for having taken my to so many places. Travelling really changes the way a child grows up, and in my opinion, travelling when your kid is small should be something everybody could afford to do at least once a year.

In brief, I can summarize my future in two essential words: ''trips'' and ''numbers".

84. PROS AND CONS OF COMESTIC SURGERY , by P.R (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG:  Glee - I Feel Pretty/ Unpretty

Cosmetic surgery seems to be a topic which people like to discuss about lately. It may be because society is very influenced by beauty standards and prejudices. In addition, models have a huge influence on people too.

For this reason, to be handsome we have to look like models who appear in magazines. However, we are born with  different physical appearances and imperfections, and perfections are not the same in every person. Due to this fact, people appeal to surgery. But if we tried to change ourselves to be like others, would we all be clones? Who would we be if we tried to change ourselves?

I understand that some celebrities live from their physical appearance and cosmetic surgery helps them. I also think cosmetic surgery can be helpful for people who have had an accident and need surgery. But, apart from that, I believe it is important to be true to who we are and to understand that we can be pretty just the way we are.

83. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF BECOMING A TEACHER , by P.R (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG:  Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Growing Up
(Sloane´s Song) featured by Ed Sheeran

Nowadays, studying to become a teacher is getting more popular than it used to. However, this profession is also undervalued. It is also hard to find a job as a teacher and it supposes a lot of effort as teachers have to put up with children every day and they have to learn things during their professional career so they can teach new contents.

A friend of mine is studying teaching and she once told me this: “I hate when my friends think they are better than me because they are studying other degrees and they undervalue teaching. Luckily, I am the one who is going to educate their children.” That made me wonder how important education is and how incredible it is the way teachers can change and help you in so many ways.

Although I value teaching, I don’t think I would like to become one. As I said before, it requires a lot of effort and it isn’t the job of my dreams. But from my point of view, it would be positive to teach for a few years children who need support.

82. PROS AND CONS OF COSMETIC SURGERY, by A.R (Bachillerato 2)

    MY SONG: Wildfire - Seafret

Every year millions of people undergo surgery in order to modify some parts of their body that they dislike. Cosmetic surgery has sometimes been considereted a negative branch of medicine, however it is sometimes beneficial for the person who is changing his/her physical appearance.

On the other hand, cosmetic surgery is the perfect option for somebody who doesn’t feel comfortable with his/her body. If an operation is going to change one's mood it’s the best thing a person can do, nevertheless before you get a cosmetic surgery you must be 100% sure and you have to know what you are getting into. In my opinion these types of operations shouldn’t be undergone to try to be more confident. On the other hand, as I said before, I believe people must admit their flaws and try to avoid cosmetic surgery. Nobody is perfect, so people shouldn’t worry about having a small mouth or not having big breasts.

Cosmetic surgery is usually an attempt to be perfect as if people are perfect they think they can be happy. Fortunately, happiness is not all about perfection. People ought to accept their imperfections and move on in their lives since beauty is not that important.

81. EXPLAIN WHICH WAS YOUR FAVOURITE CARTOON WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU LIKED IT, by SPA (Bachillerato 2)

SONG: Smash Mouth - All Star

I believe that society is divided in two kinds of people: those who loved Pokemon when they were small kids, and those who loved Digimon. In fact, there has always been a silent and almost indiscernible resentment between these two groups. As you can tell judging my irreproachable, elegant behaviour and my distinguished use of the English language, I belong to the Digimon group.

I can perfectly remember all those days in which I came back from school, had lunch and sat down in front of the TV, waiting for ‘Saber y Ganar’ to finish in order to see another extremely desired Digimon episode. I still have nightmares in which Jordi Hurtado comes to my house and slaughters all my precious digimons. I will never forgive him…

In case you do not know what Digimon was about, let me tell you the basic plot of the story: a group of Japanese friends are sucked into a digital world in which there are strange creatures called digimons. Of course there is a bad guy trying to destroy the world and the friends have to start working with the digimons in order to save the world and all that.

I know that you are thinking: ‘Oh my god! You have such a terrible taste for series! That is an extremely overused cliché!’ And I respond: ‘I know! But when you are a seven year old kid who just needs some dinosaur-shaped creatures that throw fire out from their mouths to have fun, and who has not seen enough films to understand what a cliché is, Digimon is like the greatest series ever.’

It is interesting to see how deeply a series that you saw when you were little can influence you as you grow up. I think that I would not be as I am right now if it had not been for Digimon.

                                                            By SPA

*I have to say that some expressions in this text are quite exaggerated. I am not an arrogant, vain guy, I just felt like introducing a little bit of sarcasm in this composition.

*I do not have nightmares with Jordi Hurtado.

80. PROS AND CONS OF COSMETIC SURGERY , by S.E (Bachillerato 2)

SONG: Chris de Burg - Lady in Red

When people think about cosmetic surgery, they only think about people who are not happy about their physical appearance and change it by being operated. However, cosmetic surgery is more than that.

On the one hand, a lot of people who live in developed countries and are not happy about how they look like undergo an operation to be prettier or more attractive. I think that if there were not cosmetic surgery for this kind of things, people would be better. The fact there are operations which change parts of people’s body just because they think they would look better shows that people really need to be changed to look better, and that is not true. I believe we have to accept ourselves just the way we are, and if there are still this kind of operations, people will never get the confidence they need, but, as usual, money is more important than people.

On the other hand, cosmetic surgery has improved, or even saved, the lives of lots of people who really needed it. People who had suffered an accident or children who were born physically handicaped and had their faces or other parts of their body completely destroyed, are now happy due to cosmetic surgery.

For this reason, cosmetic surgery should never disappear. Nevertheless, we should think how to use it and its consequences.

79. DESCRIBE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR STUDIES , by S.E (Bachillerato 2)

SONG:  John Williams - Cavatina

I have never been sure of what I want to study. When I finished fourth of E.S.O I did not know what Bachillerato I should choose as I had no idea what I wanted to be in the future. I chose the science Bachillerato just because I had to choose one. Since then, I have been thinking about what degree to study, related to the science Bachillerato and that I like, so I would probably study physiotherapy. The point is that I am not very sure it is something I will really enjoy doing, and if I chose it, it would be my job for the rest of my life, so I believe I have to think about it better.

The only thing I am sure for now, is the only purpose I hope to achieve: working abroad. I like Spain and all my family lives here, but I have always enjoyed travelling. I would like to visit different places and stay there for a long time to learn about their culture.

In conclusion, I would like to study a degree related to health, although I am not sure which one yet. After that I would like to go to a foreign country and work there for a long time.

78. PROS AND CONS OF COSMETIC SURGERY , by M.S (Bachillerato 2)

SONG: Denez Prigent & Lisa Gerrard - Gortoz A Ran

I am sure that if you ask a random person if he likes his entire body and face, that person will probably answer that there is at least one feature of his body that he doesn’t like so much. There are many people that admit their physical defects, like having a hooked nose, or maybe sticking-out ears. However, they accept them and even like them, since they claim that their little defects give them personality. But cosmetic surgery was invented for all the people who want to change their aspect.

On the one hand, it can help the operated person a lot, as some people get traumatized due to an imperfection they have. They can end up by abhorring themselves, and cosmetic surgery is the perfect solution to their problem. Their lives change once they have undergone surgery. It is also helpful when people have scars of other operations and they want them to disappear since they spoil their appearance, for instance, breast reconstruction for women that have undergone a mastectomy.

On the other hand, there are many people who have cosmetic surgery as if it were another ordinary beauty treatment, just as if they went to the dentist. But cosmetic surgery can be fatal, and disfigure their faces to the point that it is sometimes impossible to recognize the person after the surgery. There are people that even get hooked to this kind of surgery, so their face and body seem deformed at the end.

To sum up, cosmetic surgery is really helpful for people with health problems such as depression. It can bring the light back to their lives. Nevertheless, I think it isn’t necessary to do it just for aesthetic and avoidable reasons, as it removes part of their personality. Physical appearance is not so important as to undergo an operation.

76. VISIT TO BELERIAND , by A.S ( Bachillerato 2).

SONG: Prince - Purple Rain

Last summer I had a sprained ankle so I couldn’t travel much. However, I rekindled my love for reading and discovered a magical kingdom among the pages of a book.

The kingdom was “Beleriand”. You may not have  heard about it because it is an old country from the time when elves ruled the world.

Well, Beleriand is a huge land north-west of the Middle Earth. Its west coast is soaked by a cold impressive sea, and its east boundary is delimited by a mountain range which goes from north to south. Between these disparate landscapes, you can find a vast number of places, such as the “Doriath” forest, in whose deep heart I met king Thingol at his court. This dark green forest is a perfect place if you are looking for calm and natural beauty.

I also visited “Gondolin”, a secret city surrounded by silver-peak mountains on the top of a hill. Simply amazing.

To know more, I suggest reading the Silmarillion.

69. IS EXPERIMENTING ON ANIMALS JUSTIFIED ? GIVE YOUR OPINION , by M.S (Bachilerato 2).

SONG: Lisa Gerrard - The End

Experimenting on animals is an activity that has occurred since times of Ancient Greece. Aristotle was one of the first scientists who began this practise, which has kept developing over the years until the present. Nowadays, there are many laboratories that work with animals such as rats, birds or frogs (among others). After the experiment, most animals are sacrificed. The treatment of living animals for human benefit and its following sacrifice creates a lot of controversy.

On the one hand, experimenting on animals has provided an incredibly great progress for science, especially for the field of medicine. Injecting different diseases or vaccines against those illnesses to animals has been useful to find their cure, and even to eradicate them. Without this kind of experiments, modern medicine wouldn’t exist nowadays, and humanity would still be suffering unnecessarily. Developments in medicine are fantastic, but scientists need something to test their vaccines on, and animals are the most similar organisms to us, human beings.

However, they are also used for marketing and military aims, and that isn’t justified. These animals are raised with selfish purposes. Their lives are spoilt in captivity, and they are treated abruptly by the scientists. After all the experimenting stage, which supposes lots of suffering for these creatures, they are killed. This goes against the ethics of many people, who criticise that animals are unnecessarily tortured in a cruel way, since there are alternatives to all this experimenting.

In my opinion, experimenting in medicine is completely necessary, and if it only works on animals, animals will have to be used for it, causing them the least suffering possible. Nevertheless, experimenting on animals just to make cosmetics which attract women or for military aims should be completely forbidden. The death of thousands of animals is not worthwhile at all: they feel, just like humans.

66. IS EXPERIMENTATION ON ANIMALS JUSTIFIED ? GIVE YOUR OPINION , by A.R (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG: James Bay - Incomplete

In order to improve treatments, to develop medicines or to create new make-up, scientists use animals. Humans have been using them for hundreds of years but this use has always been in doubt.

On the one hand, I think that if we hadn’t used animals to experiment we wouldn’t have had all of these new treatments which can cure several diseases. On the contrary, scientists should have found another way of experimenting. I respect animals, so for me it’s hard to think that there are millions of animals which are caged all their life.

On the other hand, if we discuss whether animals should be used to experiment or not, we also have to talk about the fact that hundreds of thousands of living beings are used to provide us clothes or to be exposed in zoos or in aquariums. None of these actions are fair for me.

As a conclusion, I believe humans must stop treating animals as a way to make their lives easier, and start treating them as animals, just what they are.

64. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF BECOMING A TEACHER , by A.R (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG:  Imagine Dragons - Battle Cry

Being a teacher is a profession in which you have to be hardworking, patient, motivator, among other qualities. To be a teacher you have to love sharing knowledge and instructing people.

On the one hand, being a teacher can be one of the most gratifying professions if you really love what you do as you are able to do your passion full-time and stop it whenever you wish. In addition, you develop a wonderful relationship with some of the students that could last all your life. Another advantage is the satisfaction you feel when your students get good marks or improve their skills.

On the other hand, this profession can be stressful since sometimes you have to stand some students who don’t take their studies seriously. Furthermore, to be a teacher you must be a role model to teenagers so you have to be very mature and responsible.

As a conclusion, to be a teacher you have to take the pros and the cons and balance them in order to enjoy your job as much as you can.

63. MY FAVOURITE SONG AND WHY I LIKE IT , by A.R (Bachillerato 2)

My favourite song, at the moment, and since last year is “All I Want” by Kodaline from their album “In a Perfect World” released in 2013. The first time I listened to this song was when I was watching the final of “The Voice UK 2014” and the contestant who sang it won the competition. Then, I discovered that this song was in the movie “The Fault in our Stars”, which I really like.

Kodaline is an indie rock/pop band and I’m really into this genre. I love this song since the lyrics are about love, about how the singer wants to find the person who had left him. This track is so beautiful because it’s so simple. This song is not just a simple post-break up song, but more like a song when the beloved one is gone for good. They are singing about a wish to see the face once more and if the person is alive, no matter where he/she lives, it’s possible to meet again.

I fell in love with this song when I heard the lyrics for the first time. They make me so sentimental but at the same time so happy that I can’t stop listening to it. I believe it’s a magnificent song and I recommend everybody to check it out.

60. ARE BEAUTY AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OVERVALUED OR ARE THEY REALLY SO IMPORTANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE ? , by A.S (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG:  Pet Shop Boys - Domino Dancing

Physical appearance is greatly valued nowadays as society has created a way of thinking that makes us look at each other as different animals. Since long ago, humans have fought for their rights, however, there wouldn't be any rights to be fought for if we wouldn't be divided in colorcasts, if we weren't judged for where we come from or how we look.

If we think objectively, physical appearance is overvalued. On the other hand, if we just make an objective vision of life, almost everything we do or think is completely crazy. We can't have an objective vision of life, however we have to be conscious of which feelings are coherent and which aren't, as nowadays our feelings and thoughts are completely influenced by a society that makes women have operations to be ''pretty'', and that persuades men to wear a wig on their bold head in order to find a fine job.

Unfortunately, beauty is extremelly valued, but that doesn't mean that you can't be successful in life if you are ugly or what some people would consider ugly, fat, or just use an S size instead of an XXS, or even if you're not a blonde with blue eyes and have a perfect skin. Nowadays, more and more people are changing the way they see and value people. For instance, if your dream is to be a teen model but you are suffering from acné, there are some alternatives such as becoming a model to advertise a beauty cream.

Beauty is also required for other jobs, maybe to be a sales assistant at a clothes shop or a waitress at a restaurant. In this case, I really think that beauty is overvalued. I wouldn't stop going to a restaurant just because the waiter were ugly.

Society has taught us to judge people for their appearance, so nowadays, if we just meet a person, and we are asked what we think about her/him, the first answer most people will utter is: ugly, pretty, fat, thin. And that is really sad.

57. ARE BEAUTY AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OVERVALUED OR ARE THEY REALLY SO IMPORTANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE ? , by SPA (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG:  Linking Park - Lost in the Echo

We are all extremely used to seeing TV advertisements, films, series and even reality shows in which the people who appear are physically idyllic. However, is this a realistic representation of the world? Are we really all perfect?

My philosophy teacher asked us an interesting question last Wednesday. He told us to imagine that we were students who were organizing everything in order to start studying in a different city. Of course, we needed to look for a place to sleep and study, and there were several people offering us to live with them: one of them was a baker, with a little flat, 25 years old and two dogs; the second one was a hard-core music singer, with lots of tattoos and piercings; and the third one was a young student who was about to get a degree in physics, who was blond and who loved pop music. Just after having presented us our possible hosts, a fair amount of the people in the class rushed to say: ‘I would definitely choose the third one’. Nevertheless, they had almost the same information from all the hosts, so why would they have chosen the third? How did they know that he was not a serial killer? They did not know it, but they instinctively chose him.

Believe it or not, a part of you would have told you to choose the young physicist. We are all conditioned to the physical appearance of the people who surround us, and that is something inevitable.

The question is: is physical appearance that important to be successful in life? The answer, from my point of view, is: sometimes. If you apply for a job as an office worker, someone with a better CV than you will probably get the job. But if you apply for a shop assistant work in a ‘Zara’ store, even if you have cured 300 diseases and discovered three new elements, a handsome 1’90 meters tall ex-rugby player will get that job. Yes, even if he does not know how to do up his own shoes.

All in all, I believe that having a good physical appearance is a clear advantage in life, but if you work hard and never give up on your dreams, you will get as far as you desire, even if you are 1’60 meters tall and the biggest portion of your body mass is located in your massive nose or in your huge ears.

56. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF BECOMING A TEACHER , by SPA (Bachillerato 2)

MY SONG: Linking Park - Hands Held High

Being a student is pretty nice, as you are still a young person with lots of friends and whose life is full of incredible adventures… Well, students have to study hard as well, but the exam period is not too long. We all know how being a pupil feels like, but only a few understand what being a teacher implies.

On the one hand, being a teacher can be a rather stressful job, since young people - especially teens - can be extremely arrogant and annoying. Students always tend to behave against their teacher’s will, which often becomes a problem, as they have to give the lessons in an extremely strict and serious way. Being a teacher can also be very repetitive, as after all, you are always teaching the same things, which blocks the constant knowledge income that people like students, doctors or chemists are used to having every day. In addition, the working hours of a teacher are not limited to the ones that take place in the classroom, because they must keep working on their own in order to prepare the material and the lessons which pupils have to receive.

On the other hand, teachers are the main pillar which supports society, as their job is the most important: if they did not exist, all the people would be stupid and ignorant, which would mean a lack of doctors, lawyers and policemen that would finally lead to the extinction of the human kind. In addition, truly good teachers know how to keep their pupils focused on their work without having to rebuke them all the time. I believe that that is the top achievement of a teacher: being able to have a productive class in which there is a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Furthermore, teachers are the only people who enjoy three months of holidays each year, and that is fairly attractive.

To sum up, I believe that teachers have to carry out a task which is both hard and complex and important. Without them the world would not be as nice as it is right now.

55. WRITE A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PET YOU HAD AND EXPLAIN HOW YOU TOOK CARE OF THE PET , by C.S (Bachillerato 2)

During my life I have had many pets: three fish, two hamsters and one dog.

The last pet I have mentioned is a small chihuahua called Elvis, whose story is very interesting but also very sad...

During the Christmas holidays we usually go to my grandparents´house, but in 2013 my mum preferred to go to a country house in Potes. Therefore, we prepared the suitcases on Friday. We just took warm clothes since it was winter and the weather that year was extremely cold. The next morning, after breakfast, we started our journey to Potes.

A few minutes later, my dad saw something on the ground so he parked the car and then we walked towards the strange thing. I was the first one who saw it and it wasn´t an object. Instead, it was a small dog with a broken leg.

Immediately, we took him to the nearest vet. Our holidays at the rural house weren´t possible as we had to help that dog. When we arrived at the vet´s, a woman was the person who did the complicated operation because of his tiny leg.

One hour later, she had finished and we returned home with Elvis, whose name was decided by me as there was a song of Elvis Presley on the radio.
